Our Priorities Are Totally Wrong
Limewire, the file sharing service thousands of people have used for trading music illegally (and legally), is on the hook for over $1 billion. BP is on the hook for $69 million for what looks to be the largest man-made catastrophe the Earth has ever seen (aside from The Backstreet Boys).
“The amount of statutory damages awarded in this case easily could be in the hundreds of millions of dollars (if not over a billion dollars),” the RIAA wrote to Wood, in seeking a court order to freeze LimeWire’s assets (.pdf). The Napster case eventually settled for more than $300 million.”

The Cerebellum LP – Available for Download
If you haven’t been able to get your hands on one of the limited numbers of vinyl out there, you can wander over to ThinkIndie.com and download a copy. The first side is a remastered version of the original 5-song cassette we released in 1989. The second side was recorded in April, 2010, and contains 5 songs we did back in the day but never took into the studio.

Encrypted Google Search
This seems to have flown under the radar in recent weeks, but Google has launched a Beta site for using their search services over SSL. I have it set to my default Google search page now.
Same URL as usual, just use https instead of http.
Star Wars Preschooler
Unless you have been living under an Internet rock, you are familiar with the Star Wars Kid meme which circulated 5 or 6 years ago. People went to extraordinary lengths to take the original video (below) and adapt it into various alterations. If you haven’t seen it, or you need a refresher, check this out:
After having watched that video many times, I became quite familiar with the Kid’s awkward moves. Naturally, I was amazed when my 4 year-old son, Dax, busted out doing his own version the other day. He has never seen the Star Wars Kid video, but this looks eerily similar:
Yes, The Force is strong in this one (but I bet you knew I was going to say that).
